Financial Incentive Schemes
The Queensland Government - Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry supports regional, industry and business development in Queensland through a range of business assistance activities.
Financial incentive schemes are one form of strategic assistance your organisation may be able to access. These high level schemes are primarily focused on the Department's priority industry sectors.

The Innovation Projects Fund
The Innovation Projects Fund is a multi-million government fund that supports collaborative research, development and innovation projects that are of importance to Queensland.
The Innovation Projects Fund consists of three targeted funding programs:
- National and International Research Alliances Program
- Research-Industry Partnerships Program
- Partnership Alliances Facilitation Program

Smart Futures Fund
The Honourable Anna Bligh Premier of Queensland launched the Smart Futures Fund on Wednesday 8 October 2008. Guidelines and application forms can be obtained from www.industry.qld.gov.au/smartfuturesfund
Closing dates for the various programs are as follows:
- 7 November 2008 - Smart Futures PhD Scholarships Program
- 28 November 2008 - National and International Research Alliances Program Research Industry Partnerships Program Proof of Concept Program Smart Futures Premier's Fellowship Smart Futures Fellowships Smart Futures Commercialisation Fellowships
Please be aware it is also the department's intention to have another round of the Funds closing in mid next year.
